\nFrankincense has a fresh, sharp slightly woody aroma, steam distilled from the tree sap / resin which grow naturally in North East Africa. An ancient resin from biblical times, once as expensive as gold. The gum is chewed in somalia as a natural chewing gum. Anecdotally used for toothe ache, anxiety, asthma, bronchitis, scars and stretch marks. Ideal for mature and or oily skin types. Excellent for face products particularly around the eye region due to its tonic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and astringent properties. Blends well with chamomile, lavender, geranium, neroli, jasmine and rose.
